We are getting a bit concerned about the lack of snow. How does it seem to you? Thanks

Hi.

Sitting here in La Tania right now. The snow is quite thin on the gound at resort height and it is likely that natural snow will be in short supply for this weekend. The snow cannons are functioning all night long and the pisteurs are working hard on preparing pistes at resort height. There are obviously no guarantees but the forecast is for it to be very cold with quite a lot of snow during next week.

According to the lift company the full lift system will not be open on Dec 12 (it never is during their "premiere neige" week) However the full 3 valleys links will be open and so the full domain will be skiable. I had a meeting with the lift company yesterday where the situation was expplained to us.

OK thanks - fingers crossed..............
We are not travelling until the 19th Dec. How late can we leave it before deciding which lift pass to get if we want to pre-order from you?

Hi Craig

We will be with Skipower from Dec 19 in Chalet Veronique and I would like to book our family ski pass for the 6 days. The price is € 742 = £ 667 but your conversion is £720? £ 53 difference !! Also as I will be paying using my swiss credit card I dont really want to convert from € to £ and then to CHF. Can you help please ?

Also ,Is it snowing yet !!!!

Best wishes

Hi Clair

I'm not sure what conversion rate you are using but the current tourist exchange rate is 1.03 Euros to the pound. I fully understand that you will want to pay in Euros as you live in Switzerland and you would end up with two exchange rates if you went to £ and then to Swiss Francs. To help you avoid this can I suggest that you pay in cash. We can isue your lift passes at any time as we have the facility to issue lift passes this year without going to the lift pass office, so we can do it right in the comfort of your chalet with you.

Regarding snow, It is a bit sketchy. However IT IS SNOWING right now !!!!! The lift system and pistes into resort are open, with the snow cannons also working. The full three valley links are open and up high there is plenty of snow.

HI Craig
Thanks for the prompt reply.

We would prefer to pay incash in resort please. Do we still order through our booking ? I have not looked to see if there is an inresort cash payment option in the bookingf ? Can you advise please.

Its snowing here in Switzerland near Lausanne at only 830m - light snow - but snow at least !! Let's hope the light snow forcasted turns into great, big dumps !!!!

I look forward to your reply.

Hi Clair.

We're all doing snow dances here in anticipation !!!

There is no cash option for pre-booking, But that shouldn't be a problem with the new facility we have to be able to issue lift passes without going to the lift pass office. If you want, please give pip a call in the Uk office and we can arrange for the lift passes to be waiting for you and you can pay for them on arrival

hi craig,

can we book our ski passes online via your website when we get to La Tania for the same price with the 15GBP discount? I only ask as myself and my friend are hoping to xc ski so we are not sure if we need lift passes and if we want to ski or not - depending on snow and how we get on too!

thanks
