La Tania is a new resort built in the heart of a pine forest, and was host for many competitors of the 1992 Winter Olympics. This is a true “ski from the door” resort, where we offer high quality accommodation, situated literally right on the slopes! Perfectly located in Courchevel between the main villages of Courchevel and Meribel, La Tania gives you immediate access and undoubtedly the best value base for skiing the “Trois Vallées”.

The village itself is the epitome of modern, traffic free convenience with ski shops, bars and restaurants at the side of the piste. A lift from the centre of the village whisks you up over the woods above the resort where a collection of private chalets have been cocooned in the pine forests. Here is the real heart of La Tania with chocolate box chalets surrounded by pine trees and scenes reminiscent of a favourite winter postcard. There is the splendour of panoramic Alpine views, the solitude of the surrounding woods and the benefits of all the resort amenities only a few minutes walk away.

For beginners and children there are gentle nursery slopes and a free nursery lift in the middle of the village. Once the basics have been mastered then the gondola from the resort passes over many of the chalets climbs to the top of a selection of gentle pistes that run back down through the trees above. A new addition for 2010/11 is the addition of snow cannons to the green Plan Fontain green piste, ensuring this piste will remain open all season. Of course the Blue Folyeres piste into resort is also covered by snow cannons as it has been for many years.  Intermediate and advanced skiers have the whole of the ‘Trois Vallées' on their doorstep, from the sunny flattering Méribel motorways to the rock strewn altitude skiing of Val Thorens and the knee trembling Courchevel couloirs.

Whatever your standard you will adore the splendid tree-lined runs back into La Tania, widely recognised as some of the best in the ‘Trois Vallées'. Piste maintenance is excellent and the North facing snow-cannoned runs allow skiing back into the village until late in the season. Being able to ski back to your chalet terrace after a hard day pounding one of the largest ski areas in the world is a treat indeed.
