Our Crèche in Courchevel is based in its own dedicated building and so is completely separate to any
client accommodation. Our Crèche is run by qualified British nannies or nursery nurses (DCE/NNEB
equivalent). In addition we have child care assistants who work under the direct supervision of a qualified person.
The day starts in your chalet where our Crèche manager will come and collect your child in our
equipped minibus and transport them to the Crèche. You are of course free to drop your child at the Crèche each morning.
Once at the Crèche, the typical day begins at 8.30am when the children have free-play to settle them in
and to allow us to welcome all the children and the occasional tearful goodbye. By mid morning the
activities have worked up an appetite and so we provide a snack and then those who need a nap can
sleep in one of the nursery cots, while the other children have a creative session with paints, stickers or other craft activities.
The morning session ends at 12-30 and our minibus is available to take children to arranged drop off locations if they are being dropped off by us. At the same time the minibus will pick up children who are
joining us for lunch. Of course, parents are free to collect their own children.
The lunch period is from 12-30 to 14-00 and consists of a nutritious meal freshly prepared by our staff
followed by free play. The children will be grouped by age during the free play with two separate rooms
available. We try to separate the older children from the younger ones.
At 14-00 we begin our afternoon session. There is another nap opportunity for the sleepy, and a
structured session for the more active. This may be anything from music and movement to making
cookies. After an afternoon snack the outdoor fun begins - weather permitting! Depending on age and
parental consent, children may be taken on a ride in a gondola, on a bus trip, out for a walk or simply to
play in the snow. Older toddlers may even go 'bum-boarding'. The structure of the day will vary to take
into account weather conditions, children's routines and local facilities.
The day draws to a close between 17-00 and 17-30. Parents who are collecting their children are asked
to do so by 17-30 at the latest. Children booked on the minibus will be dropped at their chalet at a pre-agreed
time. We try to keep to our bus timings as closely as possible but please bear with us if we are a
little late, children can always put a spanner in the works !!!!
You may book places in the crèche on-line, a link is provided from your booking summary. Discounts
are available if you book all six days, however you can book anything from a single session to full days
(three sessions; morning, lunch and afternoon) for 6 days.
We maintain strict ratios of Nannies to children as follows:
| Infants Under 24 months | Maximum of 2 children per nanny |
| Toddlers 24 months to 5 years | Maximum of 4 children per nanny |
We may occasionally and exceptionally ask for your understanding if ratios are temporarily varied due to staff illness for example.
